Dear One Earth Family,
It is with a grieving heart I share the sad news of the recent crossing over of our beloved friend Kaiyo Racine.
Kaiyo had shared a 20-year friendship with our founder, Nathan Standing Bear. He was a long-time member of the One Earth Family community, as well as a member of the OEF Council.
Through friendship, he was key in securing the property in the Nevada Foothills, where our gatherings were held for many years.
Kaiyo’s natural ease and strength of character made him a man people often looked to for centering or guidance. With a grounded sense of modesty and a knowing wisdom, he contributed an energy of light heartedness and humor to our gatherings and ceremonies.
Kaiyo will be greatly missed, though his spirit will be close, inspiring us to treat ourselves and each other with loving kindness and gentle compassion.
Kaiyo’s long-time partner, Sara Glass, will continue as a member of our OEF Council.
We ask for prayers for Kaiyo and his family and friends during this sacred journey of grieving.
